Graduation and Mother’s Day, those go together!

We are all “mothers” in that we encourage others and help them grow and learn. Graduation is a time to celebrate learning and growth as well.

This week is the start of the graduation season and Mother’s Day is today! I feel like these 2 celebrations do mirror each other. The verb “mothering” someone is usually used when you are encouraging someone to care for themselves, helping someone or encouraging them to learn a new task. We are all “mothers” in that we encourage others and help them grow and learn. Graduation is a time to celebrate learning and growth as well. I am headed to a college graduation this weekend at OSU for my niece. I am so excited to be with my family and celebrate her journey.

What are you celebrating? Where are you growing? Where do you help others grow? How do you encourage others to push themselves, get out of their comfort zone and get to the next growth level?

I hope this weekend is full of celebrations big and small as well as growth.

Growth can be messy and full of emotion, ask any graduate and any Mother, we have experienced times of messy emotional growth. This is life, I will celebrate life today.
