Can life be simple? Is it complicated for an Overworked Leader to Build a Beautiful Life?

What is building that amazing professional life was actually simple? What if finances were simple? What if it serves others to complicate things?

What if building a beautiful life is simpler than we are told?

What is building that amazing professional life was actually simple? What if finances were simple? What if it serves others to complicate things? I recently was listening to the Bogle Head podcast where their mission is to continue the life mission of John C Bogle to build a world of well informed, capable and empowered investors. John C Bogle started a nonprofit to help others become financially literate. On a recent podcast they describe the meetings of Bogle heads as a room full of kind people helping each other learn and navigate the financial system so each person can hit their own unique life goals. This thought is so attractive to me, a room full of folks sharing resources to lift each other with no clear financial gains. This sounds like utopia, yet this is real life and it continues to grow. So at this time of our life where we are focused on politics, we know that there are groups of humans that support each other without personal gains. The Bogle heads are one example of many of the amazing things happening on this globe.

We can focus on what we can control. I would love to start a movement where we share the neuroscience of joy at work as a simple accessible framework. We do not attend “brain school”, like we do not all attend “money school”. When things are confusing, we tend to avoid them. As a Neurologist I am way more comfortable reading the research about fulfillment and joy at work and sharing actionable strategies with others to help us focus on what we can control and where we find joy and fulfillment.
